Fiesta Inn Periferico Sur
"Nice hotel but nothing special."
I visited the hotel during a business trip in Mexico City. The service is very good and everybody from the staff is willing to help from the first moment you arrive at the reception. I had a simple room which was quite big compared to other hotels, it had a safe, some bottles of water for free but no minibar. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable but the room is not soundproof. The first 2 nights I hardly slept because of a baby crying in the next room. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options and they were also making omelets of your choice. The breakfast coffee was very light/watery but if you were asking they were making an espresso without extra charge. The quality of the internet was very good compared to other hotels that I have stayed in Mexico City. This is a non smoking hotel and you have to walk outside to smoke if you want. The restaurant in the hotel was clean and the service was fast. The area where the hotel is, doesn't give you a lot of options for walking around. In 2 minutes walking distance there is a small Mall (GranSur) where you can find some shops, a big super market and a fast-food area. It is not so crowded because near to it (5 min by taxi) you can find the big Perisur Mall which is much better in my opinion.
"comfortable but pool not recommended"
This is a good hotel in the southern part of Mexico City near Six Flags and the UNAM. The rooms are standard hotel rooms, comfortable and clean. I would not say that it is a luxury hotel. The shower drain was a bit stopped up. We chose this hotel because it advertised a pool. The indoor pool was very very small and in a room that smelled musty like a locker room. There was also a spa that was not very inviting and looked as if the water was stagnant, so we chose to forgo swimming. The hotel restaurant is expensive. However the hotel is near a mall (Gran Sur) that has a food court with good dining options and a Sanborn´s. The hotel is next to Hotel One and in front of a gas station with a Quick Mart.
"Ok just at the standard"
Ok hotel, modern no luxury no frills room, just the basic, My room was big and had a view to Estadio Azteca, the personal was very warm and helpful, the food at the restaurant was good, there are not many places on walking distance and it doesn't look like a very safe neighborhood.
"Hesitant to stay"
At first the stay was enjoyable, rooms are large and well furnished , unfortunately one of the few hotels I have stayed where there is no fridge. The second half of our stay the hotel hosted children that were involved in a soccer tournament, Mexico Aztec stadium is close, we were disturbed throughout the night by these young people. If staying here enquired about football tournaments if there is stay away. There is a large mall close by. Still in shock 36 hours later.
Nice brief stay, clean room, helpful staff and comfy bed but the room was close to some sort of machine/fan that kept making loud noise all night long and did not let us get a good rest at all. Nevertheless it is fair for the price and a good option if your activities are on the southern part of the city.
