"Great business hotel, great location, everything you need!"
This year 2015 I had 2 opportunities to stay at this hotel and it was everything I expected in an excellent business hotel. It was modern, clean with an excellent breakfast buffet and extremely friendly staff.
"Good for business and that's it."
The hotel looks very nice on the inside. It has a great breakfast menu in the morning and their room service selection is not bad. It's location isn't that great: Although the hotel is about a 15 minute walk from la condesa, which is a great spot in the city, it's located in a dodgy area of DF (hookers and transvestites roaming nearby). The view from my room was non existant, as it was blocked by a huge concrete beam. Cleanliness overall was not an issue. One big problem I did have one morning was the fire alarm going off and getting me out of bed. It took them 15 - 20 minutes to send someone up to fix the problem (I know because when they came up I was showered and dressed) and didn't even apologize for the inconvenient. I wouldn't be too excited about staying here again.
"Bad Service at the Check In"
We arrive around 12:00 p.m. the receptionist told us she didn't have any rooms available at the moment. She suggested to wait for about an hour or a bit more to get the room. We decided to take a walk and came back at 1:30 p.m. the time the lady told us she will have our room, well after that time we are still waiting for a room. Now the other receptionist told us she didn't have a time to guarantee our room and asked to pay 30.00 usd to get a room right away; basically they are making us wait to the point we get so tired so we pay and extra fee to get the room we reserved!!! so is either waiting until they please to give us our room or pay an extra 30.00 usd per night to get it now!!!! it is incredible how tricky this hotel is with reservations. by the way, we are still waiting for our room. Hopefully our stay wont get as crappy as it is getting in the reception. I made my reservation through expedia.
I recently spent a few days in Mexico City. I thought the location was good for me and the pricing was reasonable. The rooms were clean and good size. I would Bost again and enjoy the complimentary breakfast next time. There are also restaurants very close proximity which was a bonus as well. Thank you.
